PRINT AND EMBROIDERY DESIGNS
Here is a curated showcase of original prints, re-colored print variations, and embroidery designs that I developed during my time at Allison New York. Each piece reflects a thoughtful design process—from concept and inspiration to execution—highlighting my focus on detail, color, and composition. Whether it’s a hand-drawn tile motif, a bold floral reimagined in a refined palette, or intricate embroidery inspired by natural elements, these designs demonstrate a range of styles and techniques tailored to the brand’s seasonal collections. This body of work represents not only my creative contributions but also my ability to translate artistic vision into wearable, cohesive pieces that align with Allison New York’s aesthetic.
For the SP26, I created an original embroidery design featuring delicate floral vines, stitched on a soft cotton dobby base. This design was inspired by traditional garden trellises and antique botanical sketches, reimagined through a contemporary lens. To complement the organic flow of the vines, I also developed a geometric border print—clean, structured, and designed to provide contrast while maintaining harmony within the overall textile story. Together, these pieces strike a balance between romantic detail and modern simplicity, offering versatility across multiple garment styles.
Inspired by the effortless charm of coastal summers and vintage resort wear, I created this original stripe print for SP26 featuring custom floral embroidery. The interplay of crisp blue and vibrant coral evokes a breezy, sunlit mood, while the hand-drawn floral motifs soften the structure of the stripe for a modern yet romantic feel. Designed with versatility in mind, this print was developed to work seamlessly across different fabrications and silhouettes, adding both texture and visual interest to the final garments.
For SP26, I used a floral border print re-colored by a colleague to develop a series of original placement prints tailored for four distinct garments. Each design was thoughtfully scaled and positioned according to the garment specifications, ensuring a seamless integration of print and silhouette. This project highlights my ability to adapt existing artwork into fresh, garment-specific designs while maintaining visual harmony and production accuracy.
I designed this unique floral toile print for RES26 using illustrator. Drawing inspiration from soft, soothing color palettes. The intricate pattern combines delicate florals with subtle hues, creating a serene and timeless aesthetic. This design captures the essence of nature’s elegance while maintaining a refined, understated charm, perfect for adding a touch of sophistication to any space or collection. Additionally, I personally scaled the print to perfectly complement the selected garments, ensuring a harmonious fit between the design and the fashion pieces, enhancing the overall visual impact.
I designed this one-of-a-kind embroidery pattern for RES26, drawing inspiration from the organic shapes and textures of leaves. The design is brought to life through a distinctive chain stitch technique, adding depth and texture to the intricate leaf motifs. Each stitch is carefully placed to highlight the natural flow and movement of the leaves, creating a dynamic yet harmonious composition. The combination of the elegant leaf design and the rich texture of the chain stitch results in a captivating piece that celebrates both craftsmanship and nature’s beauty. This embroidery design was carefully scaled to suit the selected garments, ensuring the embroidery enhances the overall design and perfectly complements the aesthetic of each piece.
I created a striking floral print for HOL25 using Illustrator that centers on bold, oversized roses. Using a minimalist color palette of rich brown and deep black, the design contrasts dramatic, oversized florals with a powerful sense of simplicity. The deep hues evoke a sense of grounded elegance and strength, while the bold scale of the flowers brings a modern, yet timeless flair. This print exudes confidence and sophistication, creating a unique balance between nature’s beauty and contemporary design. I specifically scaled the design to complement the selected garments, ensuring the print aligns perfectly with the silhouettes and proportions of the pieces, creating a seamless and visually captivating look.
I created four unique garments for the SUM25 collection, each featuring custom prints derived from a single floral motif. Using this motif, I developed three distinct patterns that were tailored specifically for a blouse, mini skirt, maxi skirt, and maxi dress. Each pattern was thoughtfully designed to enhance the structure and flow of the garment, creating a harmonious balance between print and silhouette. Once the designs were finalized, I sent them to the factory for production, overseeing the entire process from concept to creation.
I designed this unique painted tile print for SUM25, drawing inspiration from the simplicity and elegance of traditional Greek style. Using illustrator, this artwork was carefully developed to mimic a hand-drawn aesthetic, giving it a relaxed, artisanal feel that captures the charm of sun-washed Mediterranean ceramics. Each tile element features subtle imperfections and organic lines, enhancing the authenticity and character of the design. The clean, minimal motifs reflect classic Greek patterns while maintaining a modern edge, making it versatile for both casual and elevated looks. This print was thoughtfully created to evoke a sense of warmth and effortless summer style.
For Fall25, I designed these garments with a focus on silhouette, proportion, and the overall seasonal aesthetic. Alongside the garment design, I carefully planned the placement of three existing floral prints, thoughtfully positioning them across each piece to complement the shape and flow of the design. The prints were arranged to highlight specific areas—such as the bodice, sleeves, or hemline—creating a sense of balance and visual interest without overlapping or layering them. This considered approach to print placement helped bring cohesion and a refined, intentional look to the collection, seamlessly integrating pattern with form.
For HOL25 I designed this unique rhinestone-embellished French terry set as a modern take on elevated loungewear. Each rhinestone was meticulously placed by hand to create a flowing, organic pattern that adds movement and sparkle to the soft, casual fabric. The contrast between the relaxed silhouette and the intricate embellishment creates a dynamic balance of comfort and luxury. This set is designed to make a statement while remaining effortlessly wearable—blurring the line between cozy and couture.
Utilizing illustrator, I created a refined pinstripe fabric in soft light blue and brown, creating a subtle yet elegant base for RES26. To elevate the design, I meticulously arranged each rhinestone and pearl to form a stunning waterfall pattern, with the stones cascading down in a delicate, fluid motion. The careful placement of each stone and pearl was done with precision to ensure the perfect flow and balance of the design. To further demonstrate the intended construction, I hand-sewed each piece, creating a tactile reference for the factory. This not only ensured the accuracy of the design but also allowed for a more personal, hands-on approach in capturing the vision behind the piece. The combination of the understated pinstripes with the opulent, hand-sewn embellishments results in a unique and timeless fabric that exudes both sophistication and craftsmanship.
I created this unique embroidery placement and curated the color palette specifically for our Fall 2025 Piper sweater, drawing inspiration from the intricate forms of twisting vines and delicate leaves. The design was thoughtfully developed to enhance the natural drape of the garment, with the embroidery flowing organically across the fabric to mimic the graceful movement of climbing foliage. Rich, autumnal tones were carefully chosen to reflect the season and corresponding palette. Each stitch placement was meticulously mapped out to ensure a balanced and harmonious composition, elevating the sweater with a handcrafted, nature-inspired elegance that feels both timeless and contemporary.
This original embroidery design was created on Procreate for fall development, inspired by seasonal motifs and textures such as crisp leaves, woodland flora, and harvest tones. The focus was on incorporating intricate stitching techniques and thoughtful color palettes to add depth and dimension. Each element was carefully rendered to evoke the tactile quality of hand embroidery, blending digital precision with organic warmth. Rich, earthy hues and layered textures bring the design to life, making it a striking and cohesive embellishment perfectly suited for knitwear, particularly cozy fall sweaters.
